Intro to Lead with Macie Art Glass – Class 1 of 5

Working With Lead – Create a Lead Glass Panel!

The age old craft of leaded glass windows. This introductory class will teach you the basics of working with lead came and fabricating a leaded glass window. Learn how to design a functional panel, including how to select and cut glass, fit and cut lead came, and weatherproof your window. Each student completes a leaded panel in the class.

Students will be taught basic lead construction. Class includes instruction for cutting, fitting, soldering, cementing, and cleaning your panel.

LOCATION: Studio 67 Medford at the Feed Mill, 67 North Main St. Medford, NJ 08055

REGISTRATION FEE: $150 for 5 classes. Classes meet weekly for 2.5 hours. Supplies and materials will be sold separately.

ORIENTATION: Prior to the first class, students will visit our Lumberton store for orientation (anytime during our business hours) to pick out a pattern and purchase supplies and materials. We have many options at varying price points. Estimated cost for these supplies/materials typically range $75 – $150.

SAFETY: Please do not work with lead if you are pregnant. Please wear safety glasses and closed toed shoes.

Registration reserves your place on the schedule for the assigned classes in the session. If you cannot attend a class, we will be unable to issue makeups or refunds, however, our staff will assist in every effort to ensure you get caught up to finish your project in time.
