Ralph Quinn has been practicing tai chi daily for over fifty years and has many years of experience teaching tai chi and qigong exercises to people of all ages and levels of fitness. As a certified Tai Chi for Health Institute instructor, he teaches Dr. Paul Lam’s Tai Chi for Arthritis and Fall Prevention, both standing and seated, as well as gentle energy building exercises (qigong).
Ralph began his tai chi studies with Maggie Newman, a senior student of Professor Cheng Man-Ch’ing, from 1971 to 1975 before he lived in Japan for three years and then in Chicago. After retiring and returning to the Philadelphia area, he resumed his studies with Maggie in 2008 until her retirement from teaching in 2019. In recent years, Ralph has also studied tai chi, bagua, and qigong, and taken many workshops with other renowned teachers.
