Studio 67, in partnership with Michael Sloves Magic, is pleased to be offering a 5-week course on the Art of Magic and Conjuring! Have you ever wanted to be a magician, or just learn a few tricks to show your friends, family, or co-workers? Learn from professional magicians, in a close and personal setting, who will help guide you through the Past, Present, and Future of Magic. This course is structured for Adults and Teens looking to begin their skills in Magic. Classes are held once a week for 2 hours at Studio 67. The optional “final presentation” is a show put on by you for your family and friends at Studio 67.

In this class we will focus briefly on each of the different aspects and principals of Magic. Subjects will include Card Magic, Money Magic, Sleight-of-hand Magic, and Ethics. At the end of this course, you will be able to…
- Identify and describe the key principles of Magic
- Identify and describe different styles of Magic
- Practice the basic handling techniques of common Magic props (e.g., Cards, Coins, etc.)
- Identify and describe common terminology used in Magic
- Create, Perform, and Evaluate an original story line incorporating a magical effect
Material will be provided at no additional charge by the course organizer and include a Course Book, Cards, Close-Up Pad, Rubber Bands, as well as other apparatus necessary for the course.
